The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) reports chains are still required for all vehicles except 4-wheel drive with snow tires on Mt. Rose Highway from Fairview Boulevard to Bulls Eye in Nevada.

They said chains are also required on Kingsbury Grade from the US 50 junction to Dagget Pass.

Caltrans reports the roads are closed on SR 89 from the junction of US 395 to the SR 4 junction due to snow. It's also closed on SR 89 from the Lassen Volcanic National Park southern boundary to the SR 44 junction.

Caltrans says chains are required on SR 89 from the Picketts Junction to south of the US 50 junction at Luther Pass. Chains are also required on SR 89 from Bliss State Park to north of the US 50 junction.
