Permit approved for Stonegate Reno, despite concerns over flooding & first responders

RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Reno City Council voted to reject a public safety appeal on a housing project that could bring nearly 5,000 homes north of Reno.

The project – Stonegate Reno – is expected to be built in the Cold Springs area, located just south of U.S. 395.

This week, the Stonegate developers requested approval for a special use permit and a map for 671 homes in the first of five phases for the project.
